Attempted murder suspect nabbed

An altercation at a Chick-A-Dilly in Springhill led to the arrest of a man wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder.
Springhill Police were dispatched to the restaurant, located at 502 South Arkansas St., last week after 911 received a call the someone had pointed a gun at another person, according to booking reports.

Upon arrival, police were told that no one working at the restaurant had seen the incident, and that it was reported by an unknown customer in the drive-thru. 911 also had no information on the person that called in the incident.

During investigation, police received a tip from a subject on the location of the person that allegedly pulled the gun.

Upon making contact, at 5th Street S.W., the subject took off running, but was caught by police. Tremain Foster, 38, of Springhill, was taken into custody. During a warrant check, it was learned Foster was wanted for Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery and Attempted First Degree Murder.

He was booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center with a $300,000 bond.

On Friday, the charges of Resisting an Officer and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon were added.
