August to be busy for chamber

by Minden Press-Herald

Now more than ever we need to show appreciation to our First Responders; those who are tasked to “protect and serve.” Whether in blue, gray, khaki or camo, our First Responders deserve our gratitude and support. With this in mind, we would like to extend an invitation to the community to come together with the Chamber, Town & Country Health & Rehab, and Party Express Catering to acknowledge these special individuals.

Lunch is $20 per person, but seating is limited. Call the Chamber today, as there will be no tickets sold at the door.

Retired Shreveport firefighter, Sandy Davis, will be our keynote speaker. Sandy has given 27 years to the Shreveport Fire Department having retired with the rank of Assistant Chief. He is a published author and internationally recognized motivational speaker. The event will be filled with special performances by area individuals and a wonderful meal prepared by Party Express Catering. All first responders will be given a thank-you gift and many door prizes will be awarded throughout the lunch. If you are a business and would like to contribute to either the ditty bags or the door prizes, please contact the Chamber. This is our inaugural appreciation lunch; you don’t want to miss it!
