Funeral services for Betty Jean Hart will be held Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church West Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Leland Crawford and the Rev. Bill Crider officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug., 24, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Betty was born Oct. 9, 1938 in Starr, Mississippi and entered into rest Aug. 22, 2017 in Minden. She was a member of First Baptist Church Minden and served in the children’s nursery. Betty worked for Dr. McIntyre Bridges, Dr. Carl Hines, Dr. Allen Cameron and an orthopedic clinic in Shreveport. She was a member of the Young Women’s Service Club.
She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Lee Moore.
She is survived by her husband; Don Hart of Minden, son; Don Hart Jr. and wife Mandi of Minden, daughters; Sandra Botzong and husband David of Minden and Pamela Hart-Garcia and husband Nick of Newnan, Georgia, brothers; Jimmy Moore of Columbus, Ohio, Robert Moore of Berlin, New Hampshire, and Albert Moore of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Nick Garcia, Chad McCullough, Ted Yount, Hugh Wood, Mike Burton, and Mike Powell.
