The students of Brown Upper Elementary School have kicked off Red Ribbon Week sporting their “beards”. The day’s slogan was “Happy Happy Happy to be Drug Free”. The students had a different slogan to follow each day for the week of October 28 – 31.

During October, Brown Upper Elementary School is supporting healthy school environments by celebrating Red Ribbon Week, Character Counts Week, and Safe Schools Week throughout Bully Prevention Month. Rita Cook, Counselor at BUES is spreading the knowledge and importance of maintaining good character and building drug and bully-free environments. “Teaching kids healthy habits and respect towards others early is vital for our students future success in their lives.” Cook said.
