Claudia Floreine Shores Baugh passed from this world at 1 p.m. (HST) on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the age of 92.

Floreine passed painlessly and peacefully in Honolulu, Hawaii following an extended battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Following the example of family friend Van Norman, husband of Geneva Norman, Floreine donated her body for medical research and physician training to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Her teaching time complete, Floreine’s body has been cremated and is being returned to Minden, her home for over fifty years, to lie next to her husband C.E. “Shorty” Baugh.

Floreine requested that no flowers or gifts be sent. If you would like to make a memorial contribution, Floreine suggested The Alzheimer’s Association, The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or any organization of your choice. Family visitation will be at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 211 Murrell Street, Minden, Louisiana on Thursday, October 18th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Attire is casual.
