Coleman-Johnson engaged to marry

Mr. and Mrs. James and Gail Coleman proudly announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Knakita Coleman to Jared Johnson, son of Mr. Ted and Mrs. Kreesha Bennett and Mr. and Mrs.Vincent and Tangela Johnson of Chicago, Illinois.

Knakita is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Icie Manning Fuller, Mrs. Emmer Coleman and the late Mr. Willie Coleman, Mr. Olden Walker, and Mr. Alvin Manning all of Minden.

Jared is the grand-son of Ms. Alice Kindall and Mr. and Mrs. Claude and Antee Johnson Sr. all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

The couple will exchange vowels on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Mt. Calm Missionary Baptist Church, Minden.

The future bride is a graduate of Minden High School and Grambling State University of where she received a degree in recreational therapy. She is employed as a certified therapist at a hospital in Alexandria.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Minden High School and is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he received a football scholarship, majoring in exercise science and is preparing for graduation.

The couple will honeymoon in Costa Rica.
