Cotton Valley FD helps elderly

Jerline Golliens (left) was one of the beneficiaries of a charitable effort spearheaded by Lorenzo Johnson (right) at the Cotton Valley Fire Station Thursday morning. The fire station collected dozens of house fans and water packages, all donated from local residents and businesses, and distributed them to elderly residents to help them stay cool this summer. Johnson said he hopes this will become an annual endeavor.
