Carlie Day, life long resident of Minden and Executive Director of Aime Hospice Care, spoke at the Lions Club weekly luncheon Thursday. Day spoke on hospice and the challenges of end of life care. “Hospice is a solemn subject in people’s homes,” Day said. Knowing that talking about end of life care is not an easy conversation to have, Day said to not panic and to call Aime. She would go on to explain that hospice isn’t just delivering medicine. “Sometimes it’s a smile and a conversation,” she said. “It’s also about empowering families to be able to take care of their loved ones.” For more information visit www.aimehospice.com.
