District battles loom large

by Minden Press-Herald

Last week brought losses for the Minden Crimson Tide, Glenbrook Apaches and North Webster Knights. The Lakeside Warriors were able to get a win over Homer.

Let’s take a look at the slate of games for this week as Lakeside will look for another win while our other area teams try to bounce back.

Minden High

The Crimson Tide went on the road last week and left Stonewall with a loss against North DeSoto. This week they will look to get back on the winning track against Benton. The Tigers are currently first in district 1-4A and a win would move the Tide into a first place tie.

Glenbrook Apaches

The Glenbrook Apaches lost at home last week for the first time all season. Now the Apaches shift their focus to an important road date with Prairie View Academy. The Apaches have to win this week in order to have a shot at making the MAIS playoffs.

Lakeside Warriors

Lakeside got a thrilling 23-22 win over Homer last week on homecoming. The Warriors will travel to Shreveport this week for a match up with one of the best teams in all of 2A, Calvary Baptist.

North Webster Knights

The Knights fell on the road to Evangel, 10-6. They will be back at home this Friday trying to bounce back against Mansfield.
