Dorothy Louise Jarrell Rogers left this earth to enter her heavenly home in the early hours of Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015. Louise was born to Judson W. and Maxine R. Jarrell on Aug. 28, 1949, in Dubberly. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved nothing more than taking care of her home and family. She was the youngest child and only daughter; therefore she could do no wrong in the loving eyes of her father and, of course, was the apple of his eye.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3287 Highway #531 in Dubberly under the direction of Dr. A. W. Smart, her former pastor. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be her son, sons-in-law and grandsons. Burial will be at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly.

Louise graduated from Dubberly High School in 1967 and was married to the love of her life, Roy C. Rogers. Louise and her family were members at Circle Baptist Church in Baker. She also served as church pianist and organist at Circle Baptist. She was a die-hard Saints fan and loved following their games.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Judson and Maxine Jarrell.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roy C. Rogers, and children, Rebecca Louise Rogers Jones and husband, Chris; Rhonda Carol Rogers Lopez and husband, Ray; Michael Jarrell Rogers and wife, Carrie. She is also survived by her grandchildren who were the light of her life, Mason and Austin Jones, Brittany and Ashley Lopez, and Michael, Zachery and Reilly Rogers. She is also survived by brothers, Jerry W. Jarrell and wife, Irene and Larry H. Jarrell, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Her family wishes to express their sincere thanks and love for the many prayers and kind deeds that helped support the family during Louise’s extended illness.
