Homegoing celebration services for Dorothy Seamster Dillard will be Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary with Chaplain, the Rev. John Fincher, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Sheppard Street Cemetery.

She was born to the late Abb and Gladys Seamster on Dec. 24, 1944 in Webster Parish.

Dorothy accepted Christ at a young age. She attended Webster High School.

Dorothy departed this life on May 25, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Johnnie B. Dillard; son: Cedric Glenn Dillard; four brothers: Willie D. Seamster, Charlie J. Seamster, John Scott Seamster, James Wade Green, Jr.; and three sisters: Annie Smith, Elizabeth Bridges, Lillie Seamster.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: one child: Kevin Seamster; one grandchild: Anquanika Morris; three great-grandchildren: Naterial Morris, Nathan Sullivan, Joshua Walker; one brother; Johnny R. Seamster; two sisters: Bobbie Jean Seamster and Hattie S. Moore (Clyde) all of Minden; and a host of special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 3 in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary. Email condolences may be sent to [email protected].
