“Whose house? Our house!”

Those were the words blaring from the Doyline huddle following an impressive 8-1 victory over Webster Parish rivals, the Minden Lady Tiders.

Minden scored their only run of the game in the first inning before Doyline went on to score runs in fourth, fifth and sixth inning.

The Lady Panthers got gem from their ace, Kim Coleman. The righty tossed a complete game for Doyline, striking out 11 batters and only giving up four hits. Her big day continued at the plate where she had a triple, double and a RBI.

Haley Machen was on fire for the Lady Panthers. She went 3-4 with a double, two singles and four RBIs. Aslynn Williams had an RBI double, Sara Ward had a RBI single and Whitney White, Raleigh Womack, Sarah Disotell and Holley Estes added base hits for Doyline.

Antasia Rhodes, Cameron Banks and Olivia Osborne had singles for Minden, with Banks adding an RBI.

The Lady Panthers will travel to Castor Wednesday for a 5 p.m. game, while the Lady Tiders will take on Fair Park in Shreveport tonight at 6 p.m.

Panthers

The Doyline Panthers were at home for a doubleheader with the Fair Park Indians, getting the better of their visitors in both ball games.

The Panthers defeated the Indians 12-3 in game one and 8-1 in game two.

Nick Burge led Doyline, going 1-3 with four RBIs, followed by Jax Gaynor and Trey Ware with RBI hits. Bryce Taylor had two singles and a double, Parker Hearne doubled and Hayden Engle had two RBIs.

Gaynor struck out nine batters on the mound for Doyline to get the win.

In game two, Cameron Smith took the mound and gave the Panthers a solid effort with six strikeouts over three innings.

The Panthers did most of their damage at the plate in a five-run second inning.

Doyline’s Parker Hearne blasted his first home run of the season, a two-run shot, to lead the Panthers. Jax Gaynor and Luke Carter each had RBI doubles, followed by Nick Burge with a two-RBI double. Luke Darbonne and Bryce Taylor each had base hits for the Panthers.

The Panthers will take a week off and get back on the field next Tuesday, March 29, against Montgomery.
