Ethel Walker paperFuneral services celebrating the life of Ethel Barnes Walker, 93, will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Springhill United Pentecostal Church in Springhill, Louisiana with Rev. Brian Hamilton, Rev. Lyn Story, Rev. Dale Welch, Rev. Kenneth DeHart, and Rev. Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Cotton Valley Cemetery in Cotton Valley, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the church.

Ethel was born December 11, 1922 in Springhill, Louisiana and went home to be with her Lord, July 2, 2016 in Springhill, Louisiana. She was a member of the Springhill United Pentecostal Church in Springhill and a retired LPN from Springhill General Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gus F. Walker, granddaughters Kimberly Suzanne Walker, Kourtney Dickson, and Janice Hooter, four sons-in-law, one great-granddaughter, and one great-great-grandson.

She is survived by her son Daryl Walker and wife Deborah of Minden, daughters Fonda Devall and Carol Hooter of Springhill, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Dickson, Elliott Dickson, Glenn Dickson, Anthony Blake, Brandon Cox, and Barry Walker.
