The Farm to change hours for summer season

by Minden Press-Herald

Summertime is here, and The Farm is changing its hours of operation to accommodate the public.

Chris Broussard, director of The Farm, said the venue will be open Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and on Friday’s from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. beginning Monday, June 6.

“We realized when we’ve left the gate open when we are there, so many people have wandered in,” she said. “So, we want to invite the public to come out and enjoy the grounds, take the nature trail, bring a sack lunch and picnic on the grounds and hook up to our free wifi if they want.”

Broussard says artists and photographers are also invited to come out as many requests have been made to take photographs of their flowers.

The Farm is located at 419 E. Union, on the corner of E. Union and Talton Streets. For more information, contact Broussard at [email protected] or call 393-5991.
