Glenbrook Apaches, Lady Apaches participate in CA doubleheader

HOMER – The Glenbrook Apaches swept two games against Tallulah Academy and Claiborne Academy, while the Lady Apaches got swept against the two same opponents in girls action over the weekend at Claiborne Academy.

The Apaches defeated Tallulah Academy 54-46 behind a big outing from their two main weapons Da’maza Robinson and JC Brown.

Robinson finished with a game-high 23 points, while Brown wrapped up the game with 15 points.

The Apaches then won a low-scoring game against the CA Rebels, 39-24, led by Robinson with 9 points and Cade Clemons with 8.

The Lady Apaches lost game one to Tallulah Academy 45-38, led by sophomore Alyssa Martin with 18 points. Kate Marvin and Kannon Butler each chipped in 6 points. In game two against CA, the Lady Apaches lost 40-31 led by Amelia Christy with 12 points and Kate Marvin with 10.

“The boys played well both games,” head coach Rob Chase said. “The girls were ahead in both games but we just ran out of gas. I’m very proud of both teams.”
