by Minden Press-Herald

As district races begin to heat up and the playoff picture starts to take shape, parish teams must step up their play. Here’s a look at what’s on tap this week in Webster hoops.

Minden: The Crimson Tide continue to struggle in district play, having dropped games to North DeSoto and Huntington over the weekend. The Minden Lady Tiders dropped just their second contest of the season over the weekend against Huntington. The road gets no easier as both teams travel to Booker T. Washington Tuesday before hosting Bossier at The Palace Friday. Both girls games begin at 6 p.m. with boys to follow.

Glenbrook: The Apaches and Lady Apaches continue district play with two home games this week. River Oaks School comes to town Tuesday, followed by a visit from Franklin Academy on Friday.

Lakeside: The Warriors continue to ride the roller coaster that has been their season, falling over the weekend to Green Oaks. The Lady Warriors fell as well.

Now, the two teams begin a three-game road stretch, visiting Calvary Baptist on Tuesday before traveling to Mansfield on Friday.

Doyline: The Panthers are riding high at the moment following a big win over Class B No. 7 Weston. The No. 8 Panthers have a chance to climb the rankings this week as well, with a road trip to Castor on Tuesday, followed by a home game with No. 9 Quitman on Friday. The Lady Panthers will play the same schedule, with games slated to start at 6 p.m.

North Webster: The North Webster Knights and Lady Knights will host Plain Dealing High School Tuesday night before hitting the road to take on Green Oaks Friday. Both sets of games begin at 6 p.m. with the girls.
