Youth presented with Mason’s Honestey and Integrity award

Cotton Valley Lodge No. 335 presented the Honesty and Integrity Awards to five area high school juniors on Monday, April 22. The recipients were Kendall Rico, Bailey Hassell, Kaylin Dick, Austin Snider and Morgan Hanson. The guest and brethren assembled in the Lodge Hall and were welcomed by Brother Roy Simmons, Master of the Lodge. After the welcome, Deputy District Grand Master, District Two, State of Louisiana, Brother Wayne King was introduced and presented a brief history and explanation of Freemasonry and the origin of the Honesty and Integrity Award program. King also spoke on the meaning of honesty and integrity and the significance and importance it holds in our everyday lives. Each recipient was individually recognized by the lighting of a candle and a rap of the gavel sounded in their honor, then each was presented with a framed certificate by Simmons. The parents of the recipients were also recognized and congratulated on their respective child.
