An undercover investigation that included drug buys has culminated in the arrest of a Springhill man.
Robert Daniel (aka Bob) Roberts, 65, of the 100 block of Taylor Street, was arrested by North Webster Drug Task Force agents and charged with two counts of distribution of methamphetamine, one court of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to reports, Webster Parish Sheriff's Lt. Shawn Baker, Springhill detectives Brian Montgomery and Ronald Wedgeworth and Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd served a search warrant at Roberts' residence earlier this week.
Undercover agents reportedly purchased methamphetamine from Roberts on two prior occasions in the past few months and had two warrants for his arrest, as well as the search warrant.
Execution of the search warrant reportedly turned up additional methamphetamine, syringes, meth smoking pipes and other drug paraphernalia.
Roberts was transported to Springhill Police Department where he was booked and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
He is held under a bond of $80,000.
