Vickie Ann Jackson was born March 2, 1963 to the late Billy Jean Jackson, Sr. and Ollie D. Jackson.
She confessed Christ and was baptized at Growing Valley Baptist Church at an early age. She later joined Saint James Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member.
She graduated from Doyline High School, class of 1981, and continued studies at Bossier Parish Community College.
She was employed at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Jean Jackson, Sr.; her grandparents, Curley and Olla B. Jackson and John and Angeline Dudley; and her brother, Jerome.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Brandon D. Jackson; devoted mother, Ollie D. Jackson; two brothers, Willie E. (Jancie) Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona and Billy (Jacqueline) Jackson, Jr. of Haughton; five grandchildren, Diamond, Itali, Indya, Kalieah and Ja'Vota; a special daughter, De'Foya Calloway; three nieces, Ashley and Brittney of Haughton and Janizza of Phoenix, Arizona; four nephews, Kendrick and
Mekhi of Haughton and Lelton, Jr. and Undray of Phoenix; six god-siblings, Sita, Jimmy, Anton, Freddy, Melvin Calloway and Franklie Rodgers; a special friend, Sammy Dixon; and a host of close family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Saint James Baptist Church. Her final resting place will be at Growing Valley Baptist Church. Repast will be held at Growing Valley Baptist Church.
