Lois Weaver Anderson

Funeral services celebrating the life of Lois Weaver Anderson, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Officiating will be Rev. Chad Hardbarger. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral Service.

Lois was born in Plain Dealing on Jan. 8, 1933 to A.R. and Nora Weaver. She passed away April 25, 2013 after a sudden illness.

She was a resident of Shreveport and a member of the Baptist faith. She was retired as a secretary for Mr. Ed Kennon and a member of the board of directors at Tri-State Bank. She was valedictorian of her high school graduating class, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Greenwood and various other professional women's organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alvis and Hershel Weaver; and sister, Mary Faye Hall.

She is survived by her sister, Nettie Evans Hicks and husband, Charles; brother, Malcom Weaver and wife, Nelwyn; nieces and nephews, Brenda Kennon and husband, Ed, Barbara Lebel, Debbie Dietrish and husband, Todd and Michael Weaver; special grandnieces and grandnephews, Brittany and Blair Lebel, Kari Kennon, Bryan Rhodes, Mathew and Meridith and David Weaver, Anna Dietrish, Mildred Thompson, Jean Ratcliff, Don Tingle and Julian Hall; former husband and best friend, Willie N. Anderson, Jr.
