Waiter event raises funds for Evergreen

Evergreen's Celebrity Waiters will meet the Wild West on Thursday, May 9 at the 6th annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner.

The event will be held in south Shreveport at the courtesy of East Ridge Country Club.

Evergreen officials said they are privileged to introduce many first-time sponsors, along with those who have been faithful to support Evergreen's mission over the years.

It should be a night of memorable moments and fun as the organization raises funds and awareness for the individuals they serve.

Overall theme for the event is "The Wild West" and some of Shreveport's finest will be serving tables and fulfilling the roles of an epic western movie, from heroes, to gamblers, Indians, or railroad workers.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a silent auction, followed by dinner, a program and live auction beginning at 7 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Shreveport/Bossier's very own celebrity band, The Mix Band.

Individual tickets are $100. A table sponsorship is $1,200 and will gain company advertisement in the event program and other areas at the event.

Funds raised will go toward the overall mission of the organization and help Evergreen to continue to build better lives.

Evergreen is a nonprofit organization that began in 1959 in Minden with four clients and has since grown into an organization that serves more than 1,300 indiviuals with disabilities in six states.

Evergreen prides itself in assisting individuals with disabilities build better lives.
