Bonnie Aston

Aston BonnieBonnie Dale Aston of Denham Springs went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 23, 2013 at her home with family and friends surrounding her. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst East Funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday, October 24 and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, October 25 with funeral services at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Beechridge Cemetery. Services will conducted by Rev. John Duke.

Bonnie was a faithful member of Shady Bower Pentecostal Church until her illness made it impossible for her to attend. Bonnie was a special mother, MiMom, sister and friend that will be missed by everyone that knew her. She was born to Auvergne and Odell Hollowell, Sept. 27, 1943 in Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James "Sonny" Aston; grandson, Jamie Baker; sister, Louise Oliver; and brother, Ben Hollowell.
Left to cherish her kind-hearted, loving ways are her beloved children, Johnny Aston and wife. Pat, Vicki Baker and husband, Pete and Mike Brown and wife, Lydia; her best friend and caregiver throughout her illness, Deborah Morace; grandchildren, Jennifer Baker Rodriguez and Mike Piron, Cody Baker and wife, Leigh, Kimberly Aston Jurey and husband, Adam and Chase Brown; three great-grandchildren, Jordon and Jada Rodriguez and Zoey Jurey; three sisters, Darlene Tharpe, Sue Rock and Doris Bowling; and two brothers, Don Hollowell and Jerry Hollowell; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends that loved her dearly.

The family wishes to thank her lifelong friend Ann Coffee and Dr. Fabrega. "To live in the hearts of those you love is to never die."

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Cody Baker, Adam Jurey, Chase Brown, Mike Piron, nephews Jody Oliver, Fred Hollowell and Daniel Romero. Honorary pallbearer will be Hubert Neucer.
