Pamela Y. Frazier is one of seven recipients of this year's Grambling State University Radiothon Scholarship.
Frazier is an undergraduate senior at GSU studying in the online Organizational Leadership program, a longtime resident of Springhill and graduated from Springhill High School in 1986.
She is the proud mother of Xavier Frazier, who is a GSU alumni, JaMorris Frazier and She'Jayla Speech whom she loves so dearly.
She is the oldest daughter to Rosie Frasier-Smith of Shreveport, who is a GSU alumni and Steve Jackson of Cotton Valley.
She is a member of the King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church in Sibley, where Minister Rodney E. Williams is pastor.
She serves as a choir member, youth director and ion the pastor's aide committee.
In her spare time, Frazier loves to have fun and spend quality time with her family.
She has earned an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and certificates in Child Development & Day Care Management from Southern University in Shreveport in May 2007.
Over the years she has cared for many children in the area as her own. Frazier gives all the glory to God for her accomplishments and loves to share her testimonies with others.
One of her most noted quotes is "I look like what I'm headed to, not what I've been through."
One of her favorite scriptures is "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt. 6:33.
