Miles to speak at event

LSU's top Tiger, head football coach Les Miles, will return to Minden to be the featured speaker at the Webster – Claiborne Parish LSU Alumni Association Golf Tournament and Fish Fry.

The event will be held Thursday at the Pine Hill Country Club and will feature a golf tournament, silent auction, live auction, happy hour, fish fry and banquet at 6:30 p.m.

Those in attendance will have an opportunity to win or purchase unique LSU items. There will also be gifts for everyone in attendance.

"I believe this is going to be the largest and most exciting event we have ever had," Gary W. Haynes, President / CEO Webster – Claiborne LSUAA said. "We will be serving food and drinks all day long. There will be many opportunities on the course to win some really nice prizes."

All proceeds from the event will go to the LSUAA Webster-Claiborne Scholarship Foundation. With this in mind, the Claiborne Parish LSU Alumni Association has some new and exciting news to announce at the banquet about their scholarship foundation.
