Funeral services for Verle Hulse will be held at 10 a.m. Friday August 15, 2014, at Lakeview United Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Leon Boggs officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Verle was born June 11, 1926, in Stockton, Kan. and entered into rest August 12, 2014, in Shreveport. He was a World War II veteran in the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theater.
His parents and wife, Marguerette Hulse precede him in death.

He is survived by sons, Steven Hulse and wife, Colleen of Denver, Colo. and Mark Hulse and wife, Denise of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Misha Boyne and husband, Duke, Angie Van Wyk and husband, Trevor, Adam Hulse and wife, Lauren, Kristen Hulse, Ashley Caplis and husband, Chris and Eric Hulse; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

The family wants to express their gratitude to all of her family, friends, and caregivers, with special thanks to Larry and Mona Elkins and Mercedes "Myrt" Fox.
