Funeral services for Marguerite Madden Winter will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Gary Miller. Interment will follow at Bistineau Cemetery in Heflin. The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at 9 a.m., one hour before service time.
Marguerite was born July 26, 1923 in Heflin and entered into rest Feb. 9, 2012 in Kahului, Hawaii.
Marguerite served as a deacon and taught Sunday school at First Presbyterian Church in Burbank, California. She was a retired bookkeeper from Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles, California.
Her husband, George W. Winter; sister, Bonnie Wiles; brothers, Grady Madden and Jimmie "Simon" Madden preceded her in death.
She is survived by her nephews, Sherry B. Barnette, Jerry Madden, Michael Madden, James Madden and Charles Madden; nieces, Pamela Alexander, Denise Day and Maribeth Chumbley; and sister Martha "Corkey" Woodard of Kahului, Maui, Hawaii.
Brenda Ferguson was born on Nov. 14, 1951 in Shreveport and went to be with our Lord Feb. 12, 2012 at her home in Cullen. She was 60 years old.
