Water Works

When can you water your lawn?

Above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall has prompted the City of Minden to ask residents to cut water usage earlier than usual.

According to the National Weather Service, a large part of Louisiana is under an "exceptional drought" and considered "abnormally dry."

Until the recent rain, the City of Minden had recorded only one-half inch since April 25, therefore, city officials are implementing an outdoor watering schedule effective immediately until further notice.
