by Minden Press-Herald

EPSON MFP imageJacqueline Janette McGlothen was born August 5, 1966, in Shreveport to Dorrce and Bertha O’Neal Eason. At an early age Jackie accepted Christ and became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

She received her education at Webster High School. Jackie attended Northwest Louisiana Vocational Technical College where she received her training and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.

She also joined the Star of Hope Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Jackie was employed at Rosti, Inc. (Minden) as a machine operator which led to an assistant supervisor until she had health complications.

Jackie was united in holy matrimony to Derrick Jackson.

Jacqueline was a wonderful mother and one of her greatest accomplishments was her children, whom she loved very much.

She departed this earthly life, Friday, November 7, 2014.

A son and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Derrick Jackson; parents Dorrce and Bertha O’Neal Eason; stepmother, Shirley Eason; two brothers, Dorrce Eason Jr. (Yolanda) and Robert Hill Jr.; four sisters, Tamekia Lewis (Ferlando), Pamela Bridges, LaShanta Bradford (Jonathan) and Dorshekia Eason; five children: two sons, Keundrell Eason and Eric Smith Jr., three daughters, Quarmiyia, Nakeiya and Ja’Ericca Eason; seven grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and a special friend.

Her life has not ended; it has just begun. She has left this world and has gone to a better place. We will all take this journey one day. Hopefully, we will face it as Jackie did – unafraid. Be happy for her; she has overcome.
