Graveside services for James T. “Jim” Palmer were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Officiating was the Rev. Brian Mercer. The family received friends from 12:30 til 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Jim was born March 18, 1946 in New Orleans and entered into rest Dec. 3, 2015 in Bossier City. He was a pharmacist for 40 plus years, an avid bird hunter who loved his English Setters. Jim loved cooking and sharing his dishes with others. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sheryl “Sheri” Palmer, father Dr. Fleater Palmer, Jr. and mother Virginia “Lil” Turner Palmer.

He is survived by his daughters Nicole Palmer Hochenedel and husband John of Edmond, Oklahoma and Elizabeth Palmer Bergeron and husband Charles of New Roads, grandchildren Harper Ashley Hochenedel, Palmer Ann Hochenedel, and Henry James Bergeron, goddaughter Sarah Hebert numerous nieces and nephews and friend and caregiver Jeanette Murphy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Hebert, John Hebert, Stanley Hebert, George Miller, Steve Nicholson, and John Nicholson.
