Funeral services for Jo Ann Phillips will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the the Rev. Jeffrey Saxton officiating. Interment will follow at Ethan’s Gate Cemetery in Heflin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Jo Ann was born Dec. 21, 1945 in Kosciusko, Mississippi and entered into rest April 6, 2016 in Shreveport. Jo Ann enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Wayne Phillips of Sibley, sons Bubba Phillips and wife Kelli of Sibley, Mike Phillips and wife Aubrey of League City, Texas, daughters Tina Aultman and husband LaRue of Dubberly, Tammy Essex and husband Mike of Haughton, sisters Cindy Smith of Austin, Texas, Paula Wall of Alpharetta, Georgia, brothers Larry Burns of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Johnny Mark Aldy of Brandon, Mississippi, Lee Aldy of Durant, Mississippi, Bubba Aldy of Pasadena, Texas, 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jay Aultman, Jake Aultman, Gracen Phillips, Gabriel Phillips, Matt Potter and Brandon Elchelberger.
Honorary pallbearer will be James Mixon.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Grace Home and Dr. Massingill for the love and care given their love one during this time.
