Johnnie Moore ObitOn May 31, 1937, Johnnie Moore was born to the late Mr. Harold Moore Sr. and Mrs. Maggie Lowe. He was raised by loving grandparents, the late Mr. Walter and Madgie Copes Moore. He united with Superior Baptist Church in Homer at an early age. He later joined St. Rest Baptist Church in Minden.

Johnnie Pete has worked hard all of his life. As a small boy he hauled pulpwood and as he got older, he went into the construction industry until he retired.

Johnnie married the late Betty Foster and to this union eight children were born. Johnnie later married the late Ester Baulkman Rogers and to this union two children were born. He loved his family.

Johnnie was preceded in death by two daughters, Johnnie Howard and Betty Daniels; two sisters, Johnnie B. Moore and Mary Hawkins; three brothers, Issac Shine Jr., Isaiah “Ike” Shine and Harold Moore Jr.; grandson Durousseus Howard and his best friend, Aubrey “Breek” Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Reva Martin of Arcadia, Beverly Lewis (Matthew) of Springhill, Kavasha Moore and Sheterica Moore of Shreveport; three sons, Connie Moore, Neil Moore and Tony Moore, all of Minden; two stepchildren, Sybrenia Smith (Robert) and Gregory Baulkman (Diane), both of Shreveport; eight sisters, Nellie Winzer (James) of Homer, Julia Pickens (Moses), Pauline Frederick (Foster), Kay Betts, all of Michigan, Betty J. Moore, Cora Love, Gloria Reeder and Maggie Seamster (Sam), all of Minden; a special friend of 32 years, Amita James of Minden; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
