North Webster Knights move to 8-2

North Webster fell twice this weekend, but bounced back with wins over Union Parish and Opelousas Catholic to improve their record to 8-2.

Clay Mahaffey and Logan Vidrine recorded multi-hit games for the Knights and Riley Orr struck out eight batters on the mound to lead the way. Vidrine came in to get the save, pitching a scoreless seventh inning.

Against Union, the Knights won 15-5 in six innings.

Connor McClure led North Webster going 2-4 with a single, double and three RBIs, followed by Dallas Lay who went 1-3 with a double and three RBIs. Patrick Modisette finished 2-3 with a single, double and two RBIs, Blake Atchley went 2-3 with two singles and two RBIs, Riley Orr and Kade Garmany went 1-4 with RBI doubles. Daniel Lewis added two singles for the Knights and Logan Vidrine singled.

Michael Modisette struck out 10 batters in six innings of work to earn the win for North Webster. He allowed just four hits.
