Services for Laverne B. Fesmire were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Father Joseph Ampatt. Interment followed at Doyline Cemetery. Visitation was at 5 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. Rosary, Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City.

Laverne was born June 7, 1931 in Hall Summit to Ben and Willie Beckham and died Feb. 21, 2016 in Shreveport. She retired from the YWCA as a bookkeeper.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, the late G. ‘Lamar’ Morgan; daughters, Linda S. Turner and Debbie L. Pooler and great grandson, Stanton Haynes.

She is survived by her husband, John Fesmire of Bossier City; granddaughter, Kimberly D. Scott of Haughton; grandsons, Hank Haynes, Jeff Haynes, both of Minden, Nathan J. Rowland of Shreveport; great-grandchildren, Madeline N. Scott, Emerson, Beckham, McClendon and Carpenter. Thoma-Rowland, Heather Smalley, Hayden, Coltan, Hollan and Hadley Haynes; great-great-grandchildren, Dayton and Ella Smalley and numerous other family members and friends.

Honoring Laverne as pallbearers will be her grandsons, also Jason H. Scott, D.J. Beckham and Charlie Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Haynes and Michael Beckham.
