Rodney Taylor, of Taylor & Sons, presented Leroy Hamilton a plaque of appreciation and a goodie bag with a gift card and other items for his hard work for Webster Parish schools.

Taylor read a letter of nomination, which states Hamilton closely monitors students, ensuring every one is achieving full potential.

“Mr. Hamilton requires teachers to contact a minimum of five parents per week with positive news,” he said. “He checks the conduct of each class, which improves behavior drastically. He works late, often staying until all the students or all activities have been completed.”

Hamilton is described as a gentleman, opening doors for the ladies and carrying heavy items.

“He is a great leader to our kids,” Taylor concluded.

Each month, Taylor presents an employee with a plaque of appreciation for the hard work they do for the children of Webster Parish.

Last month, the employee of the month was Tonya Harris, a third grade teacher at Brown Upper Elementary School.
