Lisa Gould with the Northwest Louisiana Pregnancy Care Center joined the Minden Lions Club Thursday as guest speaker to share her personal testimony and educate the club on what resources and assistance are available to single, teenage, unplanned and low-income mothers. “We try to offer them a step up,” Gould said. “We’re not there to give handouts, but rather valuable skills on how to care for their baby and plans for raising a child.” For more information on the Pregnancy Care Center, visit nwlpcc.org
