Funeral services for Mary Alice Youngblood Sanders will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Gilgal Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Dr. Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Gilgal Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana.
Mary was born March 24, 1919 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest November 2, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. Mary was a member of Gilgal Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana and served as the worship music leader for the congregation for many years, served in choir ministry, and taught Bible study to women, children’s ministries, and VBS to many churches in the Minden area. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church for several years, and became active in the choir ministry, teaching, and fellowship with the “Joy” group. She was currently a member of Gilgal Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Sanders and grandson Cameron Sanders.
She is survived by her sons; Barry Lynn Sanders and wife Linda of Eads, Tennessee and Ronny J. Sanders and wife Rhonda of Florida, five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
