BATON ROUGE – Minden’s Economic Development Director was one of the latest Louisiana Economic Development Executives Association economic development training graduates.

James Graham, Minden Economic Development Director, also received a certificate of completion for the Business Retention and Expansion Course. This is a required course for the Certified Louisiana Economic Developer accreditation, administered by Southeastern Louisiana University.

This two day, interactive course presents the core components of a BRE program and how to assess and address the concerns of local businesses. The course was taught by nationally recognized expert Laith Wardi, CEO of Executive Pulse, located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Secretary of Economic Development Don Pierson extended his congratulations to the students for participating. “This training program is important to the state to maintain professionalism and best serve our communities for economic development activity in our state,” he said.

Graham was the only northwest Louisiana area graduate.
