Minden erases four-run deficit, eventually falls to Franklinton

Minden’s season came to an end Tuesday night against Franklinton, as the Crimson Tide fell 9-5 to the Demons.

The Tide fought tooth-and-nail to get back in the game after falling behind 5-1 in the early going.

Minden starting pitcher John Volentine got the nod to try and tackle a Franklinton lineup ripe with contact hitters, but was less-effective in this outing than he had been during the regular season when his slow-breakers were thwarting opposition.
