Mystery Tour Hits Minden

Nearly 40 tourists were in Minden Saturday morning as part of a mystery tour out of the Dallas metro area. Acting tourism director Johnnye Kennon said the group were on part of a multi-day tour and stopped in Minden for lunch at Grace Estates and a tour of Francis Erving’s home. Erving, who has a special connection to the author of “Gone With The Wind,” provided the group a private tour prior to the tour of homes Saturday. Kennon said the tour was a result of promoting Minden as being on the Holiday Trail of Lights.
