Nick Cox takes district 8 police jury seat

Nick Cox takes control of the district 8 police jury seat that is currently occupied by Charlie Odom.

Odom did not seek reelection forcing voters to choose between Cox and Harper Edwards.

Cox took the seat with 471 votes or 57 percent to Edwards 351 votes or 43 percent.
