Officials to outline economic development agenda for city

by Minden Press-Herald

Minden city officials will host three public meetings detailing implementing the strategic development plan.

Economic Development Director James Graham says the plan was developed in 2013 and its time to put it in place.

“We will discuss the specific type of industries we are going after,” he said. “It gives people that are preparing for future employment an understanding at what they need to look at.”
Graham says the meetings will also give industries a look at who their future customers and suppliers will be.

The first meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Minden City Hall. Two other meetings will follow at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Community House located at 711 Gladney and at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at Minden High School.
Graham says the meetings will be open for the public to answer questions.
