Memorial services for Phillip Shelton Clary will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Eddie Ballance officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church.

Phillip was born May 6, 1947 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and entered into rest November 12, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Army receiving military honors including the National Defense, Good Conduct, Expert Rifleman, and several Commendations medals. He was a scout master of Troop 34. He was awarded in 1987 The Order of the Arrow, and that is the highest honor you can receive in the OA. He was also a member of the Patriot Guard.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; Jean Clary, brother; Joe and sister; Sherry Lynn.

He is survived by his wife; Lavonne G. Clary of Athens, son; Joel Ray Clary and wife Michelle Vickers Clary of Minden, daughter; Christi C. Clary of Minden, stepsons; Kyle Anderson of Athens and Kevin Anderson and wife Jessica of Benton, sister; Dorinda Benson of El Dorado, Arkansas, grandchildren; Donald Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Johnathan Steadman, Justin Thompson, Morgan Clary, Kyrin Clary, Bo Phillip Clary, Carter Anderson, Lila Anderson, and Austin Weaver, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, his Valhalla family, extended family and friends, along with his many motorcycle riding adventurers along his journey of life..
