Powell – Peevy united in marriage

Amanda Powell and Peyton Peevy were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at four o’clock in the afternoon at First United Penecostal Church in Minden.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jeff Ramsey.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Ethan Powell, brother of the bride, Rachel Chapman, Anna Adcock and Jared Needham.
Lisa Reeves performed sign-language to “Holy Sprit, You are Welcome in this Place”.

A reception catered by Party Express was held afterwards in the reception hall of the church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kelley of Minden, and Mr. and Mrs. Brett Powell of Magnolia, Arkansas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coy Callender of Haynesville, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Broughton of Minden.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Peevy of Minden. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Doug Hall and Mrs. Doug Hall of Minden and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Peevy of Minden.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her step-father, Michael Kelley. The bride wore an A-line Pronovias Barcelona gown of ivory lace embodied with crystals and a chapel-length train. The bride’s fingertip veil, worn by her mother in her wedding, was outlined in crystals and was complemented with a rhinestone head chain. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of peach and mango calla lilies, peach and ivory roses and baby’s breath.

Miss Danielle McCann served as Maid of Honor. Mrs. Lindsey Norris, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor.

Bridesmaids included Carlee Powell, sister of the bride, Emily Moore, and Jordan Gray. The flower girl was Miss Ava Norris, niece of the bride. The Maid of Honor wore a peach chiffon dress with a lace overlay and the Matron of Honor and bridesmaids wore peach chiffon dresses. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of baby’s breath.

Cody Peevy served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Brad Peevy, father of the groom, Woody Hudson, Drew McNeal andTyler Michaud. Layne Norris, nephew of the bride, served as Ringbearer. Ushers for the ceremony were Ryan Puckett, Gavin Hall, Garrett Hall, Roman Tolbert, and Chase Tolbert.

The bride is a graduate of Minden High School and Blue Cliff College in Shreveport, Louisiana, and works as a massage therapist at Swartz Chiropractor in Minden. The groom is a graduate of Minden High School and works as a manager at Cotton’s Fried Chicken in Minden.

Following a honeymoon in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the couple will reside in Minden.
