Volentine
Graveside services for Robert N. “Bob” Volentine will be held Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Officiating will be Johnny Pistole and Garland Hughes. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Bob was born July 1, 1936 in Haynesville, Louisiana and entered into rest Dec. 20, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a retired pipe fitter Local 141 and a member of Church of Christ in Sarepta. Bob was a strong, determined hard working man who loved to travel, ride his motorcycle, loved fishing, and most importantly spending time with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Flossie Volentine and wife Shirley Volentine.
He is survived by his wife Glennie Volentine of Cotton Valley, son Tony Volentine of Springhill, daughter Pamela Windham of Evergreen, sister June Payne of Leton, brother Jackie Volentine of Waxahachie, Texas, grandchildren Heather Shurrie Davis and husband Robert, Holley Danielle Vail and husband Dylan, and great-grandchildren C.J., Gavin, and Jaxon Davis.
