Speed suspected to be a factor in fatal accident
Louisiana State Police report an 11-year-old Webster Parish boy was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning. At approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a one-vehicle crash on LA 802, about 2.5 miles east of US 371.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1993 Ford Ranger pick-up truck driven by 11-year-old Clark James Davis was traveling at a high rate of speed on LA 802, when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.
Davis was not wearing a seat belt
