Steroids lead to arrest during traffic stop

by Minden Press-Herald

A traffic stop landed a Sarepta man in jail on steroid charges.

Brandon Day, 33, of the 200 block of Church Street was booked on charges of possession of a schedule III drug (anabolic steroids) and loud music.

Day was stopped after he was reportedly driving down the street with loud music.

During the stop, Day told deputy Shawn Jenkins he had recently been arrested on marijuana charges and steroids were in the center council.

Day reportedly gave Jenkins permission to search the vehicle.

Jenkins located two vials of “Anabolic Apache” steroids in a plastic bag in the vehicle.

The ingredient in the steroids was confirmed to be a controlled dangerous substance, according to reports.

Day was placed under arrest and booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
