Tia was very active in the community and civic services, with a deep passion for youth leadership and development. She was currently employed at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Health Center in Dallas, Texas.
Tia leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Larry Gipson (Kathy); mother, Brenda; sister, Jessica Elie (Johnny) and a host of family and friends.
Tia was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. having been initiated by the Iota Theta Chapter. Her Omega Omega Service will be conducted in a private ceremony at 10 a.m. by the Minden Alumnae Chapter.
Funeral services for Tia Chawayne Gipson will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at St. Rest Baptist Church in Minden. Public viewing will begin at 11 a.m.
