Minden Tide face Richwood Rams in spring game

by Minden Press-Herald

The Minden Crimson Tide are nearing the completion of their spring practice and with the exception of a few rain-shortened days, head coach Spencer Heard likes what he sees.
“I think it’s been good,” Heard said. “We were limited in terms of days because of the rain, but the days we’ve been able to get out their we got in some good work and were able to get a look at some of our young guys at some of the positions we need to see them in. The older guys are performing the way we thought they would.”

The Tide will take on Richwood Friday at 6 p.m. for their annual spring game in Monroe.

The Tide finished last season 9-3 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. Coaches and fans will be keeping a close eye on the secondary positions and offensive line where the Tide graduated several starters.

“We’re just really excited to get out their and see the young guys,” Heard said. “Hopefully we’ll perform well.”
