Tuesday crash kills Minden woman

by Minden Press-Herald

A crash late Tuesday night took the life of a Minden woman, according to Louisiana State Police.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Fuller Road just west of U.S. Highway 371. State police say the preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Mercury Mariner, driven by 41-year-old Stacey Mangrum-Kellogg, was traveling east on Fuller Road when, for reasons unknown, she lost control of his vehicle, exited the roadway and crashed.

Kellogg was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries.

The Webster Parish Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene.

Impairment is suspected to be a factor in this crash.

A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
