Funeral services for Velma Roberts Harr will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Love Chapel United Methodist Church in Haughton with the Rev. Jean Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Point Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the church.
Velma was born Feb. 24, 1945, in Shreveport and entered into rest May 13, 2015, in Doyline.
She was preceded in death by sister Irma Lee Roberts Wilson, brothers Robert Vincent Roberts Jr., Charles E. Roberts, and Billy Ray Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Harr of Doyline; son, Dennis Harr and wife Grace of Shreveport; daughter, Becky Wilt and husband Rick of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Lois Rowe of East Berlin, Pennsylvania, Verna Dean Peterson and husband the Rev. David Peterson of Homer; brother, Jack Cranford and wife Marceil of Homer; grandchildren Matthew and Nathan Harr, Robin McFadden and husband Max and Rachel Wilt and great-grandchild Lucille Ann McFadden.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Love Chapel United Methodist Church Children’s Ministry, Haughton, Louisiana.
